Jokhang Temple is located in the center of the old town of Lhasa, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is a Tibetan Buddhism monastery and holds the supreme position in Tibetan Buddhism. It is not only one of the earliest buildings in Lhasa but also the religious center and spiritual sanctuary of the entire Tibet. As part of the "Historic Ensemble of Lhasa", Jokhang Temple has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The architecture of Jokhang Temple integrates Tibetan, Tang Dynasty, Nepalese and Indian styles, and is a treasure of Tibetan religion, architecture and art. The core of the temple is the main hall, which has four floors and a complex structure. The roof of the hall is covered with huge gilded copper tiles, which is the famous golden roof and a classic angle for taking photos of Jokhang Temple.
